    Product Description

A surprising, woody-amber fragrance capturing the spirit ofwood, the memory of the oceans and the sparkle of aconstellation.

Eau des Merveilles or The Water of Miracles was created in2004.

Already with the first notes this fragrance plays on the skinthough wafts of translucent and sparkly amber, delicate sweettobacco, and sweet citrusy freshness.

The heart of the composition features delicate lily of thevalley, floral notes are soft, but cold with a green nuance.

Base notes remind of warm skin caressed by the sun. Winy veil ofamber is touched by moist whisper of hyacinth.

Eau De Merveilles is recommended for a fun afternoon.

    1. Just go for it

My review is based on consuming a miniature of 7 ml. I was more keen on Elixir des Merveilles, but my friend got me this one by mistake. I really wanted to like this, since I have read so many positive reviews but I think we were never meant to be a pair. This is more fresh cologne-type fragrance while I am a spicy/incense/floriental girl.

Eau des Merveilles opens with a blast of oranges and citrus, softened by salt, pepper&amber. From my perfume-eating skin (even when moisturized properly), the citrus buggers off quite fast, leaving a classic salty/chypre/woody (the fir note is definitely there) cologne which lingers on about 6h. Not much sillage, but great staying power. I agree with previous reviewers that something on this says "seaside holiday".

EdM suits both genders, on me it smells like a classic men's cologne and I really liked it on my boyfriend. I don't get any sweetness or the "sparkling femininity". Not bad but completely uninteresting on me. But if you are looking for a cologne-type frag with a twist, this is worth trying.
